Service Description

This 4 week (Tues Evening) hand built pottery class will focus on building with clay, using different techniques to create functional, decorative works of art that are built by hand. Whether you are a beginner learning fundamental slab construction, or a more experienced potter and want to hone your skills, this adult class will be interactive with suggested projects and opportunities to work independently. This course will teach students a variety of hand building techniques including pinch, slab, coil and various finishing techniques. Vases, planters, bird houses, wall hangings, cups, bowls and sculptural forms are a few ideas for forms you can create. 10 lb block of clay and all firing is included. Additional clay/fire time is available to purchase if you are a student in this class. Come enjoy great direction and the freedom to express yourself! You will have the option to come to an extra hour of "OPEN STUDIO" during class set up from 5-6 BEFORE the formal session AFTER WEEK 1. We would love to have YOU here creating with us! Cancellation Policy

Classes are non refundable. The artists buy supplies and create kits based on registration. If you have an issue, and notify us prior to 24 hours of class start time, we can work with you to transfer your fee to another class.
